Hi Emma, I'm sometimes asked to cover food events from time to time - often food bloggers get asked by PR companies that manage the events, as a means of further promoting them. In return, the PR people offer freebies to the blog readers & followers (as well as the bloggers) to say thanks ... win-win!

Good luck!

Hi Emma, What a great competition.
I went to Taste of Melbourne last year with some friends after they highly recommended it having attended the previous year. They were dissapointed, as was I, at how there were less food stalls, a smaller space which resulted in overcrowding, and just generally 'not as good' as the previous year.
I love the concept of Taste of Melbourne as a way of visiting the best of the best restaurants in Melbourne, but was reluctant to pay to go again - winning a double pass however could help to restore my faith in Taste of Melbourne.

Thanks for entering everyone ... I will be announcing competition winners tomorrow night after drawing the winners.

Essence: I do agree that some sessions can be *extremely* busy and overcrowded, making for a stressful experience. Last year I went to the Sunday afternoon session and probably wouldn't do that again; there were just too many people. My strategy this year is to go to the sessions which won't be as accessible for everyone, i.e. the night sessions. The weekday or evening sessions aren't always as popular as people have to work, or have children, etc - so you might get a better opportunity to cruise around at your leisure.

Good luck everyone!
